About this event

In conjunction with our 2025-26 work on "Heat," the Kim Ethics Institute is launching a Climate Fiction Book Club. We'll read and discuss novels that examine what it means to live, love, survive, govern, innovate, and organize in the context of rising temperatures, crop loss, financialization, migration, and the fragility of international cooperation. This series takes an unabashedly instrumental approach to the genre, asking: What can climate fiction help us see, understand, feel, or do differently as we navigate, adapt, and respond to this planetary threat? We'll meet on six Thursdays, 1:00-2:25pm, during spring semester. Participation is flexible; join at any time. RSVP here for one session or the whole series. Questions? Contact: amwest@haverford.edu.
